SYDNEY OPERA HOUSE BRINGS FACILITY ON BOARD FOR SUMMER PLAYGROUND

This year’s Summer Playground tender was won by the Facility with our boat-building inspired ribbed structures set to an Italian Riviera theme. The new year was brought in with annual Summer Playground on the “Broadwalk” of the Sydney Opera House. It was adorned with three temporary structures housing a food servery, bar and stage. Along with the design & installation of the structures, we conceptualised and curated the “Salsedine” theming that enlivens this destination.
“Salsedine”, an Italian word describing “the salt left on your skin by the ocean”, incorporates the organic styled pop up structures such as the bar and stage, along with a backdrop of colourful deck chairs and deli-style dressings that inspire the feeling of being seaside on the Italian Riviera.
